Geor­gia intends to con­trib­ute to glob­al emis­sions reduc­tion by approx­im­ately 26 mil­lion tons of CO₂ equi­val­ent by 2035, through enhanced access to cli­mate fin­ance and cooper­at­ive approaches; […] Geor­gia recog­nizes that as a res­ult of the increase in heated spaces and the reduc­tion of energy poverty, emis­sions from res­id­en­tial build­ings are increas­ing sig­ni­fic­antly, which usu­ally fol­lows eco­nom­ic growth. Geor­gia under­stands the high import­ance and social impact of imple­ment­ing mit­ig­a­tion meas­ures in this sec­tor and plans to use cooper­at­ive approaches among the Parties to the Par­is Agree­ment to decar­bon­ize the sec­tor.
