
A6IP Center to co-organize “Advancing Article 6 Implementation through Business Engagement and JCM Project Matchmaking in Mongolia”
The Paris Agreement Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP) Center, with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) serving as its secretariat, will co-organize the "Advancing Article 6 Implementation through Business Engagement and JCM Project Matchmaking in Mongolia" to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on the 27th February 2026.
This forum will be co-organized with Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia (MECC), Ministry of Energy of Mongolia and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ), Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC), JCM Implementation Agency (JCMA) along with other supporting organizations. The purpose of the Forum is to promote practical understanding of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and its implementation through the formulation of Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) projects in Mongolia.
The Forum will highlight the latest developments in JCM, including bilateral frameworks, project cycles, crediting procedures, and methodologies. Participants will also explore innovative technologies and nature-based solutions aligned with Mongolian decarbonization goals.
A business pitch session will feature companies showcasing JCM-relevant technologies and solutions, followed by individual consultation meetings to facilitate concrete project development between Japanese and Mongolian stakeholders.
