The transition from readiness to concrete transactions under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement requires predictable and investment-friendly environments to mobilize private finance and scale up Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs). However, practical challenges remain in moving from authorization to actual transfers, including registries, reporting, and corresponding adjustments.

In this context, this session, co-hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) and the A6IP Center, brings together policymakers, international organizations, investors, and private sector representatives to accelerate ITMO delivery. Following a progress report by the A6IP Center on key achievements in 2026 and strategic priorities toward COP32, a multi-stakeholder panel will discuss key enablers for ITMO transfers, practical lessons from implementation, and domestic frameworks that provide policy predictability while safeguarding national interests. Through this discussion, we will explore the future direction of high-integrity Article 6 implementation and international cooperation.
