Business Forum on JCM Project Matchmaking and Advancing Article 6 Implementation in Bangladesh aims at Advancing Article 6 Implementation through Business Engagement and JCM Project Matchmaking for Carbon Markets in Bangladesh is to promote a practical understanding of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and its implementation through the formulation of Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) projects in Bangladesh. The workshop aims to engage key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to explore the role of businesses in developing JCM projects and to facilitate meaningful matchmaking between potential partners.

By facilitating dialogue, knowledge sharing, and targeted matchmaking among potential partners, the forum aims to:

  • Build awareness and capacity around Article 6 mechanisms and related policy frameworks.
  • Promote private sector participation in carbon market development.
  • Identify potential JCM project opportunities aligned with national climate goals.
  • Encourage matchmaking that drive low-carbon investment through JCM project formulation
