Objectives of the workshop:

- Analyze the potential and obstacles associated with the transition of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) for private sector entities.
- Deepen the understanding of voluntary carbon markets (VCM) and how they can help accelerate NDC implementation in East Africa with the correct incentives and safeguards.
- Understand the interaction between independent carbon crediting mechanisms and Article 6 of the PA. Facilitate networking sessions to connect private sector stakeholders interested in carbon projects with potential partners
