GoSL and other stakeholders have shown keen interest in the carbon market provisions provided under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. However, the country’s position or policy on carbon markets and trading is yet to be disclosed and is not regularised yet. Presently, the draft Carbon Market Strategy and Guiding Principles for Sri Lanka are under review
