A6IP to Support A Public-Private Business Forum and Business Matching Event on the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) with India in September

The Paris Agreement Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP) Center, with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) serving as its secretariat, will support the “Forum on Promoting Business Engagement and Matching through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to Expand India’s Carbon Market”, to be held in Delhi, India on 23 September 2025 and “Business Consultation Meeting on the JCM Process with private companies”, to be held in Hyderabad on 26 September 2025.

The forum, hosted by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ) in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of the Republic of India (MoEFCC), will bring together private companies and government agencies from both Japan and India to introduce JCM-related systems and the latest trends, as well as technologies from companies seeking to promote and expand advanced decarbonization technologies through the JCM in India. Furthermore, to support the development of JCM projects, the forum will feature business pitch presentations showcasing advanced technologies and solutions applicable to the JCM, and one-on-one business matching and consultation sessions.

The business matching event in Hyderabad will feature individual business matching and consultations on the JCM process and project formulation for private companies (with priority given to Indian companies).
