A6IP Center at the Asia Climate Summit 2025

The Paris Agreement Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP) Center participated in the Asia Climate Summit (ACS) 2025, held from 8-10 July, in Bangkok, Thailand. The Center joined discussions and events to share insights on the current global status of Article 6 implementation and the Center's support to countries in building readiness to implement high integrity Article 6 projects.
During the “Driving Article 6.2 Implementation and Regional Climate Action” panel discussion organized by the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE) of Thailand and moderated by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the A6IP Center highlighted the need to accelerate implementation and scale up capacity-building to ensure all countries can participate effectively in Article 6 cooperation. As a global platform for collaboration, mutual learning, and capacity-building support, the A6IP's strategic directions focus on:
- Increasing high-integrity Article 6 projects through engagement with private sector stakeholders and exploring approaches to accelerate efforts to bring more Article 6 projects on the ground;
- Expanding the global community of experts and practitioners to strengthen sustained in-country capacity, and;
- Facilitating the exchange of best practices to help countries address common implementation challenges.
The A6IP Center also shared the experiences and reflections on country support, including on the evolving registry needs during the side-event “Multiple Pathways for Carbon Markets – How are Registries Evolving?” organized by S&P Global Commodity Insights.
