A6IP Supports Indonesia's Progress on Article 6 Implementation

On 2-3 September 2026, the Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP), together with Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Environment, convened a two-day workshop to advance preparation of Indonesia's Initial Report under Article 6.2. The workshop also provided an opportunity to discuss Indonesia's Presidential Regulation No. 110/2025, including its relevance to participation requirements, authorization processes, and the broader institutional framework for international carbon market cooperation.

The workshop provided a platform for technical discussions and collaborative drafting, helping to strengthen Indonesia's readiness for participation in Article 6.2 cooperative approaches under the Paris Agreement. Participants also identified opportunities for continued collaboration to support the development of international carbon market cooperation and Article 6 implementation.
