Jamaica

Jamaica is com­mit­ted to con­trib­ut­ing to dis­cus­sions on inter­na­tion­al cooper­a­tion through Art­icle 6 of the Par­is Agree­ment. Depend­ing on the out­come of these nego­ti­ations, the coun­try will explore how it can use these mech­an­isms either to sup­port the achieve­ment of its own NDC or to provide addi­tion­al mit­ig­a­tion out­comes to sup­port NDC attain­ment by oth­er countries.

Jamaica is com­mit­ted to con­trib­ut­ing to dis­cus­sions on inter­na­tion­al cooper­a­tion through Art­icle 6 of the Par­is Agree­ment. As Art­icle 6 has become fully oper­a­tion­al, Jamaica is com­mit­ted to lever­aging the oppor­tun­it­ies it provides, ensur­ing that it can con­trib­ute to and bene­fit from glob­al emis­sions reduc­tion ini­ti­at­ives. The coun­try will explore how it can best use these mech­an­isms either to sup­port the achieve­ment of its own NDC or to provide addi­tion­al mit­ig­a­tion out­comes to sup­port NDC attain­ment by oth­er countries.
