Use of Article 6 Under NDC
Ethiopia expresses a strong interest for voluntary cooperation in emerging international carbon markets governed by Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Ethiopia sees carbon markets as instruments to increase mitigation ambition and places high importance on environmental integrity through robust accounting as well as the promotion of sustainable development. Ethiopia therefore invites interested Parties to explore engaging in cooperative approaches.
