Use of Article 6 Under NDC

[translated]: The DRC reiterates the importance of finalizing negotiations on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement so that the country can sell carbon credits through the international carbon market and thus finance its NDC measures. Also, in order to enable the country to benefit from adequate compensation for its efforts to reduce and avoid carbon emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, which will serve the entire world, it is essential that a fair and robust carbon price be established at the global level. With this in mind, in its contracts for the sale of emission reductions on carbon markets, the DRC reserves the right to negotiate an adequate price.
