Use of Article 6 Under NDC

Intention to Use Article 6 Under Current NDC

“Brunei Darus­salam envis­ages to achieve the inten­ded GHG emis­sions reduc­tions under this NDC through domest­ic actions and fin­an­cing. How­ever, the Gov­ern­ment of Brunei Darus­salam will explore pos­sible bilat­er­al, region­al and inter­na­tion­al mech­an­isms in meet­ing the NDC target.”

Intention to Use Article 6 Under NDC 3.0

Brunei is cur­rently study­ing the feas­ib­il­ity of Vol­un­tary Cooper­a­tion as part of its Car­bon Pri­cing assess­ment. While still in its early days, Brunei has inked an MoU to identi­fy Art­icle 6.2 cooper­a­tion with a neigh­bor­ing country.
