Objectives
The event entitled “For the Enhancement of the Implementation of Article 6 through Synergy of Capacity-Building and Private Investment” was held at the COP29 Japan Pavilion in Baku, Azerbaijan on 18 November, 2024.
At this seminar, Minister Asao, ministers from various countries, and other distinguished guests delivered remarks on the importance of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement which allows for GHG emission reduction and other mitigation measures to be implemented through international cooperation, as well as the expectations on the support activities implemented by the Article 6 Implementation Partnership (A6IP) Center. A6IP Center also delivered the presentation on “the Article 6 Implementation Status Report” which contains information on the implementation status and challenges of A6.
